Abdelouahed Ghallali – ETII Local Coordinator

Was born in 1961 in Chefchaouen but grew up in Tangier. He got his BA in Linguistics from the University Med Ben Abdellah in Fes in 1985 and started preparing for the French Doctorate at Sorbonne University – Paris IV, but abandoned the studies after a year. He has been teaching EFL for 30 years in Moroccan public schools and 11 years at ALC Tangier. He has been teaching ESP in Business and Science colleges in Tangier since 1998. He has attended All-ALC conferences since 2006 and has given three workshops in different occasions. He is a fervent advocate of teaching by doing and using all senses in tasked-based activities. Using IT in the classroom is also his passion. From 2009 to 2015, he served as a pedagogical advisor helping the teaching inspectors in observing and evaluating new teachers. From 2013 to 2015, he was in charge of training and mentoring new teacher-students from the “Centre Régional des Métiers de l'Education et de la Formation”. He is a member of Tangier’s ALC community service club and an honorary member of Nibras Association.

Pearl Sahabdeen – ETII Teacher Trainer

Pearl Sahadbeen is national of South Africa living in Morocco. She graduated with a Law Degree from the University of South Africa in 1998. She completed her Cambridge CELTA diploma in 2013 and her Cambridge Young Learner’s Diploma in 2014. In 2015, she completed her Cambridge Teacher Training Diploma. In 2017, she completed her Delta Cambridge Diploma. She has been teaching at the American Language Center of Tangier since 2005. Before that, she taught at the American Language Centers of Casablanca, Rabat and Mohammedia. She also teaches International Economic Law and Research Methodology at the British University (SIST), which is an Affiliate of Cardiff Metropolitan University of England
