ETII Local Leadership Team

Theresa Taylor – ETII Local Coordinator + ETII Teacher Trainer

Theresa is from British Columbia, Canada. She trained at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor Degree in History. She loves school and knew she wanted to be a teacher from Kindergarten onward, so upon completion, she went right back to university and obtained a degree in Education. She is incredibly passionate about teaching and learning! She has been living in Morocco since July of 2012, and began teaching at the ALC in October of 2012. She is currently the Academic Coordinator at the ALC, which means she gets to work on curriculum development projects, new teacher training and orientation, and professional development. Before moving to Morocco she was living in Abu Dhabi, where she taught at a Canadian International School. Theresa has been in the field of education for nine years now, and has had a wide range of teaching experiences, from teaching nursery school in Tanzania and Uganda, to teaching Academic English and thesis writing to engineers and nurses at universities. Writing is a creative outlet for Theresa, and she published her first book of poetry ‘The Wise Old Elephant Must Be Laughing’ locally, in her small hometown in Canada in 2009.
